The aim of the session is to introduce attendees to the conceptual foundations of well-being, to cover how ideas of well-being are beginning to emerge in Psychology and to think about how to apply some of those ideas in clinical practice.

- This workshop will cover different approaches to understanding what well-being consists of and how that understanding is relevant to the practice of Clinical Psychology. Interventions aimed at enhancing well-being will be discussed, with a more detailed discussion of an intervention designed to enhance well-being through teaching goal-setting and planning skills.
